Five reasons to choose Snowbizz

There are many reasons why you should book a Snowbizz holiday but here are the top five.

1. We’re a family ourselves

This definitely makes a huge difference when it comes to the level of care you will receive. From your first email or call to your actual holiday to the contact with us when you’re back, we really aim to have a personal service from start to finish.

No other company will have two of the directors on hand all day, every day in resort for the full season. For us this makes sense as we get to speak to families to ensure everyone is happy whether that’s with ski school or with any of your childcare settings as well as being able to listen to valuable feedback.

We’ve had the pleasure of delivering family holidays for the last 40 years and due to our small
nature we have been able to really get to know our families over the years. Something which most definitely has resulted in us having yearly repeat bookings as we know it can be the smallest things which make the big difference.

2. Our handpicked instructors and child care team

Secondly all our childcare team have to have a genuine love with working with children. We look for individuals who have the perfect balance of a great personality that children and guests will
gravitate to, a strong work ethic, a great amount of varied experience and a love for childcare.
With our instructors, Michel hand picks these alongside discussions with the ESF Technical Director. All of the instructors speak a good level of English and are regularly tested and most have children themselves, so know how to relate to our children.

Secondly our hand picked instructors and childcare team always helps us create great family
holidays. Our team of British nannies and kids reps are hand picked by Elodie with two things in mind. Firstly have they got the right amount of experience? Both our nannies and our kids reps must have at least two years experience so that we have a team who can offer all sorts of games and ideas. With our nannies in particular, they must all have a full childcare qualification as opposed to having done an intense course back in the UK or in their training week. This ensures we have a team who know exactly what they’re doing most with some kind of nursery background.

A big difference with us working with the ESF is that all of our instructors carry radios which ensures easy movement between classes within our Junior Ski School. We never want to hold a child back or push them too much and we aim to treat every child as an individual. Michel is on hand every single day before and after every lesson to liaise with parents to make sure everything runs smoothly and that ultimately children are happy and getting the most from their week.

3. Puy St Vincent

Whilst Puy St Vincent is one of the smaller resorts, it’s a great mixed ability resort as there is genuinelly something for everyone. You have your big wide blues and greens alongside more challenging steep reds and then your black runs and some great off piste spots.

But the real beauty is that you can bump into and spot your children as they learn which every year new families tell us they love. We love when we have a week where families message in the family Whatsapp group saying where they’ve spotted the different groups, it helps create a realy community spirit.

Importantly, parents get the perfect mix of having their own ski time whilst children are on their
lessons but also get moments to spot their children and see how they’re getting on. This also works for the little ones, our 3 and 4 year olds, as parents can ski down a run that takes them right above the Toton garden whilst their on their lesson and then straight back onto a lift going up to 2000m.

4. Doorstep Skiing

Everything is on your doorstep. You can quite literally ski in and out of your accommodation with the first ski lift right outside your apartment. Not only that but all the childcare settings are a 2 minute walk way, in fact the Snowbizz lounge where we hold our Junior Ski School is on Floor 0 if your apartment building meaning you can come down in your slippers to drop them off.

Your restaurants, the ski hire shop and the supermarket are also a 2 minute walk away which means after a long day skiing, you really don’t far to go. We find this especially works well for new families as they find it a lot easier to get into a holiday routine as opposed to being in a bigger resort which can sometimes feel daunting, especially with little ones.

It’s also a reason why so many guests travel with us each year, they love that their children really get to know the resort which makes it feel safe. All of the ski runs come back to 1600 which is where we’re based and we know returning families sometimes even feel safe for their older children to do a run or two and meet them back outside a restaurant. That’s not something you’d find possible in the bigger resorts.

5. We love what we do

And finally what is reason 5 to book with us? It’s that we genuinely love what we do. We know how hard families work and how expensive family holidays can be. So our aim is to ensure that every member of the family have a great time, starting with the children, as if the children are having fun then the parents can fully relax.

From our first day of training week with our team, we really drum into them that every single week is as important as the last and it’s the smallest details which can make the big difference. It’s why we look for people who really do want to get something out of the job as the buzz you get from a family saying they’ve had the best time and have made great memories is like no other feeling.
