What food is provided in the nursery?

We provide snacks (biscuits and fruit) and drinks throughout the day. If children are staying for the full day parents can either provide a packed lunch or collect them and take them out for lunch before dropping them back later.

Are we able to hire sledges in the resort?

Better than that they come free of charge. The Snowbizz creche has a number of sledges which parents and children are welcome to use throughout the day. There is a designated sledging area which is cordoned off with inflatable barriers and is just used for sledging. We do however insist that if you use the sledges all children MUST wear a helmet.

We cannot hand out sledges to children if we can’t see a helmet.

I don’t want to bring a pushchair with me – what are my options?

You can hire a pushchair from the ski hire shop Go Sport Montagne which is where you’ll pick up your skis and boots. Some families prefer just to bring a baby carrier and then hire a pushchair in resort should they need to. Everything is a 2 minute walk away from your accommodation so you don’t have to travel far with your little one.

My child has an allergy – will this be ok?

Yes. When you arrive in Puy St Vincent you will be given a form to fill in about dietary
needs that the nannies need to be aware of. Children will be given a drink and biscuit in the
nursery, but the nannies will be happy to give them an alternative if provided by the parents.

If your child has a severe nut allergy, it would be very helpful to know before your holiday so we can inform other families so they can be prepared with the snacks they bring with them.

Are the nannies able to administer medicines?

Unfortunately not. If medicine is needed a parent or guardian will need to return to the nursery to do this.

Am I able to book ski school or childcare without booking a holiday with Snowbizz?

Our Ski School classes are exclusive for Snowbizz children only. You won’t find any children in our ski school/nursery who have not booked the holiday package through Snowbizz.

My child gets travel sickness. Is it possible to reserve seats at the front of the coach?

We can reserve seats at the front of the coach but we ask you please to contact us no later than two weeks before departure so we can reserve them for you. By French law car seats cannot be used on coaches, infants must sit on a parents lap.

My 3 year old would like to try Kids Club can they?

To be really honest, the kids clubs are often a bit too much even for the 4 year olds. On
quieter weeks we can sometimes accommodate this for some of the indoor clubs. The
outdoor activities are usually too overwhelming and they get too cold. It’s best to talk to
Elodie in resort who will be able to advise.

I’m not sure my child will settle at Kids Club can I stay with them?

Our team of childcare staff are great at helping to settle children in so we find it’s best for
parents to drop them off and stay for a couple of minutes maximum. We always tell nervous
children that we have mums and dads numbers so can call at any point, knowing they have an
out tends to help settle them. The close proximity to the restaurants and accommodation
(most kids clubs are downstairs in our Snowbizz lounge) means if they want to go home we
can take them straight back to your apartment or drop them off at the restaurant.

I’m nervous to leave my child with new people who do you employ?

It’s really understandable to feel nervous bringing your children to a new childcare setting.
First thing to say is that all our nannies are qualified having done either a 2 year childcare college course or a 3 year childcare degree.  We also ask that both our nannies and junior kids reps have at least 2 years experience. All our childcare team must provide two written references along with follow up verbal references. They all have a first aid cdrtificate and a DBS check.

When it comes to preparing your little ones to come on the holiday, we tell any new families
with anxious children that we can send a photo of the team and the creche setting to show
them before they arrive.. We also find our Sunday tour for new children helps by showing them the creche where they will be the next day.  We encourage little ones to walk around and play with
the toys. Anything they pick up and like, we’ll make sure it’s out for Monday.

Your first morning our Head Nanny will go through your childcare information form and
listen to any concerns or worries. Everything is then fed back to all our childcare team. Our
nannies are happy to send you photos throughout the morning along with updates so you can see what they’re up to.
